This website is dedicated to my father, bless his heart, and all the people like him who desperately need some help coming up with good gift ideas. As early as I can remember from my childhood, my father would buy his mother a piece of blue and white Wedgwood china every birthday, Mother’s Day and Christmas. No variation, no interruption, nothing any of the family said could sway him from his gift giving rut, every gift my grandmother received was a piece of Wedgwood. This literally went on for twenty years, until finally, out of display space and patience, my grandmother had finally had enough, and told him to cut it out.
Since December 1, 2009, the Federal Trade Commission (“FTC”) has required websites to disclose any monetary compensation or gifts they receive in exchange for posting positive reviews. This website has no corporate sponsors or advertisers, I have complete editorial control, I am the only person who decides what, and what not, to include, and those decisions are based solely on what I think would make good gifts, my own whims, interests and opinions. All opinions expressed are true and my own, and are not made in exchange for cash or goodies.
This website does, however, have affiliate links. Its the quickest, easiest way to get permission to display photos of the gift suggestions. It also helps defray the expenses involved in setting up and maintaining this site. For those who don’t know what affiliate links are, many online retailers will pay website owners a small commission for any sales made through their sites. It doesn’t affect the advertised price, or what you pay, the merchants are happy to pay a small amount in exchange for driving customers their way. In fact, by including any coupon or discount codes I find, I hope to actually help you save money on your gift purchases.
